Commissioner for Works, Duddaye, Pays Unscheduled Visit to Bayamari-Yunusari, Gashua Township Road Projects

In a bid to ensure the timely completion of ongoing infrastructure projects, the Yobe State Commissioner for Works,  Engr. Umar Wakil Duddaye, on Tuesday paid an unscheduled visit to various road construction sites in the state.

The Commissioner inspected the Bayamari-Yunusari road rehabilitation project, urging the construction company handling the project to redouble its efforts to complete the work within the stipulated timeframe.

He emphasized the importance of the road to the economic and social well-being of the communities in the area.

During his visit to the Yunusari-Yusufari road rehabilitation project, Duddaye reiterated the government’s commitment to infrastructure development and called on the contractor to expedite the project’s completion. He noted that timely delivery of quality projects is essential to achieving the administration’s development goals.

The Commissioner also visited the Gashua township roads and drainage construction sites, where he assessed the level of work done so far. He commended the efforts of the contractors but stressed the need to maintain high standards to ensure durability and efficiency.

Speaking to journalists after the inspection, Duddaye reaffirmed the state government’s determination to provide lasting infrastructure that will enhance connectivity and improve the livelihoods of the people.

“The administration of His Excellency Governor Mai Mala Buni remains committed to providing critical infrastructure that will drive development and improve the standard of living of our people,” the Commissioner stated.

He further appealed to residents to support the projects by cooperating with contractors and ensuring their smooth execution.

Residents in the affected communities have expressed gratitude to the state government for prioritizing infrastructure development, highlighting the positive impact of the road projects on their daily lives.
