Commander sector 2 OPHK  celebrates Christmas with troops in Buni-Gari

The Commander, Sector 2 Joint Task Force North-East Operation HADIN KAI, Maj-Gen MCE Ejike, celebrate  Christmas with his troops of the Joint Task Force Operation Hadin Kai in Buni-Gari the Gujba local government in Yobe State.

When speaking at the Christmas luncheon, the Commander sector 2, of OPHK, said the Christmas lunch was an avenue for officers and men in the front line to come together for merriment and enhance comradeship respectively.

Major general Ejike revealed that this kind of laudable gesture which emanated from the sterling leadership qualities of the Chief of Army Staff Lt General OO Oluyede is also aimed at motivating the troops as well as enhancing comradeship among personnel.

The commander appreciated the COAS for his support for the event in particular and for his unwavering commitment at enhancing professionalism and regimentation in the Nigerian Army.

Ejike also reiterated that “the pivot of our operations here in the Theatre is firmly hinged on the COAS Command Philosophy which is, I quote, ‘To consolidate the transformation of the Nigerian Army towards bequeathing a well motivated and combat ready force that can discharge its constitutional responsibilities within a joint and multi agency environment respectively”.

In his remarks, Yobe state Governor Mai Mala Buni represented by the commissioner Aji Yerima Bularafa, said the Nigerian Army has evidently recorded tremendous successes in the ongoing war on insurgency in the state and north east atlarge.

Governor Buni stated that, the security situation in the state has tremendously improved obviously with no doubt.

According to him the state is one of the most peaceful state in  Northeast atlarge.

“Accirding to him the state government will continue to support the Nigerian Army and other security agencies within the limit of its resources it has by the will of our Almighty Allah.” Buni said.

“The State Government is continuing providing support in the form of medical services and consumables, vehicles, and equipment maintenance as well as other forms of logistics and operations support to the forces deployed in the state.,” Buni said.
