The newly appointed State Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Katsina State Command, Commandant of Corps A.D. Moriki Acti, Anim, has reaffirmed his commitment to partnership and personnel development during a courtesy visit to the Commandant of the NSCDC College for Peace and Disaster Management (CPDM), Katsina, Assistant Commandant General (ACG) Babangida Abdullahi Dutsinma, on Monday, October 6, 2025.
The visit, which took place at the College premises in Babbar Ruga, Batagarawa Local Government Area, was aimed at strengthening synergy and sustaining the cordial relationship between the State Command and the training institution.
Commandant Moriki, while speaking during the visit, expressed gratitude to ACG Babangida and his management team for the warm reception accorded to him. He commended the College for its continuous support to the Command, noting that training and retraining of personnel remain key priorities of his administration in enhancing professionalism, discipline, and operational effectiveness.
He emphasized that the College for Peace and Disaster Management stands as a vital institution for building the capacity of NSCDC officers in tackling emerging security and disaster management challenges across the state.
In his response, ACG Babangida Abdullahi Dutsinma appreciated the visit and lauded Commandant Moriki for his proactive leadership style, particularly his focus on collaboration and stakeholder engagement. He assured that the College remains open for all forms of professional training and capacity development for the Command’s personnel.
The College Commandant further wished Commandant Moriki success in his new assignment and pledged continued support, cooperation, and partnership in pursuit of the Corps’ shared mandate of safeguarding lives and property.
