The Chief of Army Staff, Lt Gen Taoreed Lagbaja, has commenced an official leave, handing over duties to the Chief of Policy and Plans (Army), Major General Abdulsalami Ibrahim.
Army spokesperson, Brigadier General Onyema Nwachukwu, confirmed that all necessary protocols have been implemented to ensure seamless leadership continuity during Gen Lagbaja’s absence.
Maj Gen Ibrahim will oversee operations, maintaining military discipline and strategic direction.
The Army assures the public that this temporary transition will not affect ongoing security efforts across the nation.
