A coalition of political support groups from different political parties in 23 local government areas of Sokoto state have expressed support to Sen. Ibrahim Lamido, representing Sokoto East.
The leader of the coalition Mr Sanusi Sarki, a former PDP Zonal youth leader led the solidarity visit to Lamido.
Sarki said 30 groups converged to show their solidarity on various reasons connected with the recent developments facilitated by Lamido in changing the political situation in Sokoto state.
He narrated that Sen. Lamido spearheaded many progress in terms of human capital development, security,scholarship, orphans and people with disability support and assistance to needy in his zone and the state at large.
” Recently Lamido distributed Ramadan package program where millions of cash, 16 trucks of rice and sallah clothes to all the 200 Imams and Dozens of islamiyya school teachers irrespective of political party affiliations.
” The ceremony was led by Alhaji Kabiru Sarkin Fulani where he assured that all the items were collected by the representatives of all the local governments at the venue.
” The gesture shows the true quality of transparency and good governance in which the people of sokoto state are hoping through Sen. Lamido, ” he said.
Sarki assured that various groups that benefited would surely reciprocates the effort through more support to Lamido.
According to him, Senator would soon distributes cars, Tricycles, sewing machines water pumping machines to farmers and youth organisations across the state.
He assured that the coalition will continue to be loyal and supporting Sen. Lamido in his political carriers.
