Chairman Tours Insurgent-Devastated Kala Balge Communities

The chairman of Kalabalge Local Government council Hon. Ajid Musa Ajid has embarked on a assessment visit to the villages ravaged by the activity of Boko Haram insurgents within the period of more than a decade .

The visit is a precursor to the planned resettlement of internally displaced persons (IDPs) in their ancestral homes which is the core mandate supported by Governor Babagana Umara Zulum led administration.

The chairman went round the villages in Kala Balge ravaged by the Insurgent such as Wumbi, Ijelije, Abbari, Amsabur, Hille Sambo, Abu Numre, Mardiya, Sigal, Gulgum, Shilo, and Babajalse, among others.

He was accompanied by traditional rulers, community leaders, Operatives of Nigerian Police Force and members of Civilizn JTF in the area.

The Ajid expressed optimism with regard to the security situation, which he said it’s conducive for the safe return of IDPs to their ancestral homes.

He emphasized the need for the people to be resettled and resume their farming activities, and businesses to tackle food insecurity.

His efforts align with the state government’s commitment to rebuilding and resettling communities affected by the insurgency.

The assessment tour is a step towards restoring normalcy in Kala Balge Local Government
