A bold move to sharpen Nigeria’s air power and tighten the nation’s security architecture, the Chief of the Air Staff (CAS), Nigerian Air Force (NAF), Air Marshal Sunday Kelvin Aneke, DFS, has convened a high-level strategic meeting with all Air Component Commanders at the NAF Headquarters, Abuja.
The meeting, described as decisive and forward-looking, focused on redefining Nigeria’s aerial warfare strategy — with a clear directive to execute “smarter, harder, and more precise” strikes against insurgents, terrorists, and criminal networks threatening national peace and stability.
Air Marshal Aneke, addressing the commanders, charged them to adopt intelligence-driven, agile, and precision-based air operations capable of neutralizing threats swiftly and effectively.
“We must fly smarter and strike harder. Every mission must reflect professionalism, purpose, and patriotism,” he declared.
He emphasized the integration of intelligence-led air, land, and maritime operations as the cornerstone of the new NAF strategy, assuring continued cooperation with sister services and security agencies to deliver unified operational outcomes.
