Borno State Government

The Katsina Youth Craft Village (KYCV) has applauded the reappointment of Idris M. Bugaje as Executive Secretary of the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE), describing it as a boost for Nigeria’s technical and vocational education sector.

In a statement, the Centre Coordinator, Kabir Abdullahi, said the renewed mandate for 2026–2031 reflects the confidence of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in Bugaje’s transformative leadership in Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET).

He noted that Bugaje’s tenure has significantly strengthened skills development frameworks and improved training standards nationwide, adding that KYCV has directly benefited from NBTE’s support in enhancing its programme delivery and quality assurance.

Abdullahi revealed that the institution is undergoing major expansion under Governor Dikko Umaru Radda, with over ₦4 billion invested by the Katsina State Government to upgrade facilities and position KYCV as a leading skills hub in West Africa.

“With Prof. Bugaje’s continued leadership, we anticipate deeper collaboration, innovation, and sustained reforms that will further elevate Nigeria’s TVET landscape,” he said.

The centre reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening its partnership with NBTE to drive skills acquisition and youth empowerment across the country.
