Bring British Policemen Next Time, MURIC Urges UK Party Leader Kemi Badenoch

The Muslim Rights Concern (MURIC) has sparked debate with its latest advisory to Kemi Badenoch, UK Conservative Party leader, suggesting she include British law enforcement officers in her entourage on her next visit to Nigeria.

According to MURIC, the proposal stems from the pressing need for collaboration in addressing Nigeria’s security challenges. The group argued that the expertise of British police could provide insights into curbing insecurity, corruption, and organized crime in the country.

“Kemi Badenoch’s position offers a unique opportunity to foster international cooperation. British officers could support local agencies with training and share global best practices,” MURIC stated.

This bold suggestion has drawn mixed reactions from Nigerians, with some seeing it as a strategic move, while others questioned its practicality and implications for sovereignty.

Badenoch, who recently visited Nigeria, is yet to respond to MURIC’s appeal.
