In a dramatic reshuffle of Iran’s military leadership, Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has appointed Major General Sayyed Abdolrahim Mousavi as the new Chief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces.
The announcement came just days after a devastating wave of Israeli airstrikes that killed three senior commanders, including the former Chief of Staff, Lt. Gen. Mohammad Hossein Bagheri .
