In a bold move to uphold integrity, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has dismissed 27 officers for fraudulent activities and misconduct.
The decision, approved by Executive Chairman Ola Olukoyede, follows recommendations from the Staff Disciplinary Committee.
Olukoyede reaffirmed the Commission’s zero-tolerance stance on corruption, promising thorough investigations into allegations, including a trending $400,000 claim involving a staff member.
Meanwhile, the EFCC has warned the public about impersonators extorting money in the Chairman’s name. Two suspects, Ojobo Joshua and Aliyu Hashim, are facing trial for attempting to extort $1 million from a former Nigerian Ports Authority MD.
Olukoyede assured Nigerians that the Commission remains resolute against blackmail and corruption, urging the public to report suspicious activities.
