In a landmark development, executives from JBS S.A., the world’s largest meat processing company, visited Kebbi State on Monday, December 9, 2024. The high-profile delegation, led by Mr. Fabio Maia and Mr. Osario Dal Bello, arrived to explore investment opportunities in livestock development, meat processing, and animal health.
The visit, facilitated by the Nigerian Investment Promotion Commission (NIPC) under the leadership of its CEO, Hajiya Aisha Rimi, signals a promising future for Kebbi’s agricultural sector. Governor Nasir Idris, the Kauran Gwandu, has been instrumental in positioning the state as a magnet for international investors in agriculture and livestock innovation.
Key state officials, including former Head of Service Alhaji Sufyanu Garba Bena and Commissioners Alhaji Kabiru Usman Alaramma (Animal Health), Alhaji Yakubu Ahmed Birnin Kebbi (Information), and Alhaji Hayatu Bawa (Physical Planning), played host to the delegation.
