In a swift response to recent headlines claiming a supposed invasion of a police station in Borno State by repentant Boko Haram members, the Borno State Police Command has stepped forward to clarify the situation.

Contrary to sensationalized reports, the Command confirms that there was no attempted invasion or attack on any police facility.

Instead, a proactive joint raid conducted in the Kasuwan Fara Area of Maiduguri led to the arrest of eight suspects and the seizure of a staggering 426 assorted bottles of dry gin and spirits, underscoring the Command’s commitment to curbing crime in Maiduguri.
