Borno Governor’s Aide Pushes for Stronger Collaboration with Journalists

Mohammed Sheriff, the newly appointed Special Assistant to the Borno State Governor on Information, has called for stronger collaboration between the Governor’s press team and journalists across the state.

During a familiarization visit to the Government House Press Department, Sheriff emphasized the need for cooperation and mutual understanding to ensure seamless communication between the government and the public.

Sheriff expressed his commitment to an open-door policy, welcoming constructive criticism and suggestions from the media.

He also sought guidance from the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) leadership in Borno, underscoring the importance of their role in enhancing the government’s image.

Hon. Baba Sheikh Haruna, the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Media, and Comrade Dauda Iliya, NUJ Borno State Chairman, both praised Sheriff’s proactive approach and assured him of their support in fostering effective information dissemination in the state.

The meeting was attended by key NUJ members, including the Correspondent’s Chapel Chairman, Comrade Inusa Ndahi.
