Fresh тревors swept through Borno State on Wednesday after a disturbing video surfaced showing two abducted men, allegedly held by **Boko Haram/ISWAP terrorists, pleading for urgent rescue.
One of the captives was identified as Hassan Biu Miringa, a former Vice Chairman of Biu Local Government Area. The victims were reportedly kidnapped on December 17, 2025, while travelling from Miringa to Maiduguri.
In the chilling footage, the abductees disclosed that their captors are demanding $150,000 each — a total of $300,000 (about ₦423 million) — for their release.
“We were abducted on our way from Miringa to Maiduguri around 2:30. Alhamdulillah, we are alive,” one of them said, his voice strained. “We are calling on the government and individuals to come to our rescu
The captives made a direct emotional appeal to key Borno leaders and stakeholders, including Umar Usman Kadafur, Mukhtar Betara Aliyu, Sule Ali Rimi, Yakubu Gambo Kimba, and Musa Dogo Biu.
“We are pleading with them to come to our rescue. We are their sons,” the victim said. “They said we must provide $150,000 each. We want to be reunited with our families.”
The video has reignited public outrage over persistent insecurity on highways across Borno State, as families and residents anxiously await swift intervention to secure the victims’ freedom.
