The pioneer Executive Secretary of the Borno Geographic Information Service, Engr. Adam Bukar Bababe, has stepped down from his position, bringing an end to his tenure at the helm of the state’s land administration agency.
In a resignation letter dated March 30, 2026, Bababe said his decision was driven by the need to focus on personal engagements requiring his full attention and resources.
He expressed deep gratitude to Governor Babagana Umara Zulum for entrusting him with the responsibility of serving as the agency’s pioneer head, describing the opportunity as both rare and impactful.
Bababe noted that his time in office allowed him to contribute to strengthening land administration in Borno State, aligning with the government’s long-term development blueprint.
Following his exit, he officially handed over the reins of the agency to the Legal Adviser, Barrister Mustapha Ali Ibrahim, who now takes charge in an acting capacity.
The development marks a significant transition for BOGIS as it continues to play a key role in land management and urban planning in the state.
