Trucks laden with agricultural produce, spare parts, and consumer goods are moving through recognised routes, while transport unions and logistics operators report a surge in activity.
Families whose incomes depend almost entirely on cross-border trade say the reopening has translated into renewed opportunities and a return to lawful commerce.
Automobile dealers, haulage operators, artisans, and small-scale traders are among the immediate beneficiaries. Local markets once subdued are regaining vitality, and agricultural supply chains disrupted by restrictions are steadily normalising.
