Police in Benue State have arrested a suspect over the killing of a repentant bandit, Kyoga Joka, along the Sankera–Zaki-Biam Road in Ukum Local Government Area.
Joka was gunned down on September 29 by two men on a motorcycle, believed to be linked to Chen, a notorious bandit kingpin. His body was later recovered and deposited at the General Hospital Mortuary, Zaki-Biam.
Investigators confirmed the arrest of one suspect, identified as Teryila Kpogh, alleged to be a member of Chen’s gang. Security operatives are still on the trail of other accomplices involved in the attack.
The State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) has taken over the case and assured that further developments will be communicated as investigations progress.
