The Director General of the Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board, Alhaji Lamin Rabi’u Danbappa, has urged pilgrims to exercise patience and maintain decorum while performing Hajj.
This call was made during the farewell ceremony for the second flight of Kano State pilgrims at the Aminu Kano International Airport.
In his address, Alhaji Danbappa emphasized the importance of patience and unity among the pilgrims, highlighting that Hajj is a spiritually significant journey that requires tolerance, discipline, and cooperation.
He reminded the pilgrims that they are ambassadors of Kano State and should exhibit exemplary conduct throughout their pilgrimage.
“Be patient and support one another during this journey,” Alhaji Danbappa stated.
“Hajj is not only a physical journey but also a test of spiritual endurance and communal harmony. Represent Kano State with pride and dignity.”
The Director General also assured the pilgrims that the Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board has made all necessary arrangements to ensure a smooth and fulfilling Hajj experience.
He also thanked the state government for its support and urged the pilgrims to adhere to the guidelines provided by the Hajj authorities.
The farewell ceremony was attended by Chairman Board of Directors Alh Yusif Lawan , Board members and management staff from the Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board and religious leaders, all of whom wished the pilgrims a safe and successful journey.
The pilgrims are being transported by Max Air, including pilgrims from 12 Local Government Areas. The numbers are as follows:
– Gwarzo: 53 pilgrims (41 males, 12 females)
– Ghari: 20 pilgrims (16 males, 4 females)
– Gaya: 25 pilgrims (12 males, 13 females)
– Bichi: 50 pilgrims (28 males, 22 females)
– Kiru: 78 pilgrims (52 males, 26 females)
– Wudil: 44 pilgrims (32 males, 12 females)
– Dawakin Tofa: 123 pilgrims (75 males, 48 females)
– Bagwai: 13 pilgrims (10 males, 3 females)
– Shanono: 15 pilgrims (12 males, 3 females)
– Karaye: 44 pilgrims (32 males, 12 females)
– Rogo: 72 pilgrims (60 males, 12 females)
– Tsanyawa: 17 pilgrims (13 males, 4 females)
Five officials will oversee the pilgrims. The flight will depart at approximately 12:39 PM, heading to Madina Airport with a total of 550 pilgrims from Kano State.
