The Executive Secretary of the agency, Captain Junaidu Abdullahi, disclosed this at the official handover of completed 2021 projects to the Kebbi State Governments by the agency.
Captain Junaidu revealed that, twenty three projects were also executed by the agency in the year 2021 across Kebbi state.
“Projects include block of classrooms, abbatoir, water boreholes among others”.
The interventions in the state were mostly in the education sector saying, the year 2022, the intervention would focus more on youth development in the state.
Junaidu pointed out that, the interventions to the state were requested by the Attorney General and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami SAN and members of the National Assembly from the state.
Captain Abdullahi, prayed and hoped that, the projects will serve for what they were meant for.
In his Responses, Kebbi State Governor, Senator Atiku Bagudu, represented by the State Commissioner for Youth and Sports, Aliyu Gidado Kalial, thanked the Federal Government for the intervention between Border Communities Development Agency and the Kebbi State Government for executing projects in the state.
Bagudu assured that, more projects would be executed between the agency and the state government particularly on youth programmes.
The Governor however, called on the benefiting communities to safeguard and maintain the projects
executed at their areas.
