Bauchi State Government is all set to hold an Economic Summit, under the visionary leadership of His Excellency, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, CON, the Executive Governor of Bauchi State.
This investment summit , the first of its kind will be held outside Bauchi to the ancient city of Kano.
According to a Government House Press statement issued by the Advisor to the Governor Bala Muhammad on Media and Publicity comrade Mukhtar Gidado, says
the grand finale of the series of roadshows organized ahead of the much-anticipated Bauchi State Economic and Investment Summit, scheduled to take place on the 8th and 9th of October, 2025 at the newly constructed Bauchi International Conference Center (ICC).
The Kano leg of the roadshow is strategically designed to showcase Bauchi State’s vast and untapped investment potentials to the business community in Northern Nigeria and beyond. It is a continuation of the state government’s aggressive campaign to attract both local and foreign investors into key sectors of the Bauchi economy, including agriculture, solid minerals, energy, manufacturing, ICT, tourism, and infrastructure development.
Kano, being a historic hub of commerce, trade, and entrepreneurship, provides the ideal platform for Bauchi State to pitch its compelling value propositions. The roadshow aims to bring together captains of industry, leading entrepreneurs, financial institutions, chambers of commerce, policymakers, development partners, and prospective investors to engage with the Bauchi State delegation and explore opportunities for mutually beneficial partnerships.
Speaking ahead of the event, the Secretary to the Bauchi State Government, Aminu Hammayo, who is leading the delegation, emphasized that Bauchi is strategically positioned as a gateway to the North-East subregion and offers enormous opportunities for profitable investments. He noted that the government of Governor Bala Mohammed has put in place robust reforms, policies, and infrastructure to guarantee ease of doing business, investor protection, and sustainability.
The Bauchi State Government has already held successful roadshows in Lagos, Abuja , and Enugu, where prospective investors and development partners expressed enthusiasm and commitment to exploring opportunities in the state.
The Kano event will cap these efforts and serve as the final push before the October summit in Bauchi.
Participants at the Kano Roadshow will be treated to high-level presentations on Bauchi’s economic blueprint, sectoral investment briefs, and opportunities for Public-Private Partnerships (PPP). The session will also feature interactive engagements where potential investors can ask direct questions, share perspectives, and network with Bauchi State officials and business leaders.
