The Speaker of the Bauchi State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Abubakar Yakubu Suleiman has tasked Nigerians generally to unite for common goals irrespective of differences and chaotic democracy by engaging in what would redeem the dignity, progress and economic growth of the country.
To this end, the speaker questioned the citizenry against questionable utterances of lies to leaders as, according to him, actions or inactions have direct effects on the lives of common citizens.
Rt.Hon. Abubakar Yakubu Suleiman in a message on the occasion of Eid-el Kabir celebration in Bauchi, asked leaders to be prudent, active and prioritize people’s needs and aspirations.
Speaker Abubakar Suleiman therefore wished for a crime-free Eid-el celebrations, and called on people to be law-abiding, respect rules and regulations, and shun what would tarnish the image of the country.
The Speaker said that Royal fathers as custodians of culture and traditions should also collaborate with the security agencies to ensure the safety of lives and valuables in this festive period and beyond.
Suleiman observed that the Eid-el Kabir celebration should be a period of sober reflection on the wheels of all believing servants, as he expressed greatfulness to the Almighty Allah for the unquantifiable blessings and looking forward to a brighter future.
Also in a message to the occasion of the Eid-el Kabir celebration Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed callrd on all residents of the state to use the period to strengthen the bonds of peaceful coexistence, mutual respect, and unity, regardless of religious, ethnic, or political differences.
The Governor who was in far away in Saudi Arabia performing the holy pilgrimage, emphasized that Bauchi ‘Is our shared home, and the progress and stability of our dear state’ depend on the collective commitment to peace and brotherhood.
He said, “As we celebrate, let us remember to be our brothers’ keepers. Let us extend hands of kindness to the less privileged, promote understanding among ourselves, and work together to build a society grounded in justice, equity, and harmony,”
Senator Bala Mohammed reassured the people of the state of his administration’s unwavering dedication to delivering good governance, improving the welfare of citizens, and fostering a secure and prosperous Bauchi for all.
In the massaging statement signed by his special adviser on media and publicity, Comrade Mukhtar Gidado, the Governor prayed for Allah’s continued blessings, protection, and guidance for all, and wishes the Muslim Ummah a joyous, peaceful, and spiritually rewarding Eid el-Kabir.
Senator Bala Mohammed explained that the occasion symbolized sacrifice, obedience, compassion, and faith, and urged citizens to reflect on the virtues of Prophet Ibrahim (AS) and imbibe the spirit of selflessness and love for one another.
