Commissioner Magatakarda said that with the partner relations score expansion, Bauchi state has established a Sister State-Province relationship with Shandong Province in the Peoples Republic of China, saying Shandong is China’s third largest province with a population of over 101 million.
“Shandong also has a Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of US$1.3trillion in 2021. It ranks highly amongst the provinces in the production of a variety of products including cotton, wheat, sorghum and maize as well as precious stones such as gold and diamonds. It also has one of the biggest deposits of sapphire in the world with extensive petroleum deposits”.
Magatakardan Misau expressed confidence with the stronger partnership coordination between Bauchi and China, believing that it can leverage on to draw funding for the implementation of key priorities, especially the multilateral & bilateral cooperation/agreements.
