Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Management in Bauchi state, Hon. Hajara Yakubu Wanka has commended
Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed for his continued support towards improving the lives of Bauchi citizens, saying his gesture of providing bulls and rams for Eid el-Kabir is another demonstration of his leadership and generosity.
“I want to express my deepest gratitude to our visionary leader, His Excellency, Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, the Executive Governor of Bauchi State for his unwavering commitment to the welfare and happiness of the people of our State”.
Hon. Hajara Yakubu Wanka who represented the governor at the presentation, was speaking while handing over 20 bulls and 50 rams for religious organisations to the Ministry of Religious Affairs for onward distribution to the beneficiaries.
Wanka while appreciating the governor for his generosity and wonderful initiative, explained that Eid el-Kabir is a time for reflection, gratitude, and compassion towards others, hence the need to extend helping hands to those in need as the celebration is a reminder of the importance of sacrifice.
She commenced Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed for the distribution of cows and rams purchased by his government for this year’s Eid Eld Kabir, saying it is a time for slaughtering of animals as an obligatory duty on Muslims faithful.
Responding on behalf of the beneficiaries, the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Religious Affairs expressed gratitude to Governor Bala Mohammed for the gesture and promised judicious distribution of the donated bulls and rams.
