Chairman of the PDP Governors Forum, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed has said that there is enough volumes of water to prevent putting Bauchi on fire by any perceived arsonist in the country.
“We are happy, you have come to the home of PDP as you can see us, we are together, nobody can put fire on Bauchi. Bauchi has volumes of water to prevent any fire on it, even my friend that is saying that, he is just saying it because I have said something that annoyed him”, forum chairman party visitors to Bauchi.
The PDP Governors Forum Chairman who was apparently replying former Rivers state governor, Nyesom Wike who recently boosted that he would stoke fire on all PDP-governing states in the country.
Wike’s vituperation came in the wake of recent PDP Governors Forum meeting in Taraba state where the communique read by the forum chairman, Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed indicated the forum’s fullest support to Wike’s rival and incumbent Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara
Governor Bala Mohammed while welcoming members of the PD kkP National Working Committee (NWC) in Bauchi Tuesday for a solidarity visit, said “Yes, none of the political parties is insolated with crisis here and there, but crisis is there and that’s why the leadership is there too”.
He added, “We have to take the bull by the horns, to discuss and look at the constitution of our party, not only PDP but all the parties. We must do things by the rule of law, we must respect people, we must put our personal interest aside, we must respect our diversity, we must close ranks, especially for a party like PDP that has history”.
“Most of the developments in the country were done by PDP, and since we left there was nothing to show to Nigerians. And if you can see all the members of the national working committee that are here, they are square pegs in square holes. Whatever if we have querels, it is not personal, nobody should misunderstand us, we are together and this is not a splinter group”.
The PDP Governors Forum Chairman concluded, “We are happy you have come to the home of PDP as you can see us, my friend is my friend, and my job is my job, and leadership is leadership”.
Speaking earlier, the PDP National Legal Adviser who led the NWC delegation to Bauchi,
Kamaluddeen Ajibade Adeyemi (SAN) said that the purpose of their visit was to identify with the PDP Governors Forum Chairman, Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed and to take a physical look on his performance in Bauchi state.
SAN Kamaluddeen Adeyemi who congratulated the Bauchi state governor over the feat achieved in just five years, also salute his courage as the chairman of the PDP – Governors Forum, noted that alot of trends and happenings have been going on in the PDP, and they cannot pretend to say that all is very well.
Adeyemi explained that it becomes imperative for them to be in Bauchi to identify with the state governor, Senator Bala Mohammed, and to tell him that whatever step taken by the PDP Governors Forum, they as the party’s representatives at the national working committee will be glad, and are ready to implement it
