A Grassroot coalition Network for Ali Pate, based in Toro Local Government Area, has called on the Coordinating Minister of Health and Social Welfare Professor. Muhammad Ali Pate, to contest for the Bauchi State Governorship in 2027 under the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The Coalition led by State Chairman Alhaji Adamu A Ahmad flanked by the Toro Local Government Coordinator Hajiya Zulai Adamu Nabordo, made the call at a special meeting held in Nabordo.
In her opening Speech Hajiya Zulai said that based on Professor Ali Pate’s good character, expertise, and policies aimed at national development, particularly in the health sector, they have decided to support him in his bid to contest for the Bauchi State governorship seat.
Zulai said they believe that Professor Pate would bring sustainable development to Bauchi State and build a brighter future for the people, particularly in the areas of health, education, and economy.
She said the meeting is the first of its kind they have organized across Toro Local Government Area to encourage Prof. Pate to contest for the governorship seat in 2027.tge
The State Chairman Alhaji Adamu Ahmad said “ in Bauchi State there is no alternative to Pate, Pate is the answer because he possessed all the needed qualities to become next Bauchi Governor 2027.
Adamu said the endorsement follows months of consultations and deliberations with key stakeholders across the state, and all the groups believes that Professor Pate possesses the vision, experience, and integrity needed to transform the state to crown it all he has all it takes to become Bauchi Governor.
Adamu said Pate is globally respected health expert and seasoned public servant. “As Nigeria’s Coordinating Minister of Health and Social Welfare since August 2023, Professor Pate has demonstrated exceptional leadership in addressing critical health challenges and improving welfare programs,”
He said Pate’s international pedigree, referencing his role as the Global Director for Health, Nutrition, and Population at the World Bank Group. “His leadership during the COVID-19 pandemic and other global health crises earned him recognition and trust on a global scale,”
Chairman cited Pate’s academic accomplishments, including his tenure as Julio Frenk Professor of Public Health Leadership at Harvard University, as evidence of his intellectual depth and policy expertise.
“Professor Pate is not just a technocrat,”. “He is a son of the soil, born in Misau, who understands the needs and aspirations of the people of Bauchi State intimately, the vision of the Muhammad Ali Pate Project includes a Bauchi State with a revitalized healthcare system, economic empowerment for the youth, improved education, and infrastructure development.
“Our goal is to bring prosperity, unity, and comprehensive development to Bauchi State,”“We believe Professor Pate is the leader who can guide us to that future.”
He called on citizens across all political affiliations to rally behind the movement. “This is not just a campaign; it is a call to action. We need the collective support of the people to build the Bauchi State we all dream of,” he urged.
The group prayed and hoped that Professor. Ali Pate would respond to their call,to rescue the people of Bauchi State from their current situation, and provide good leadership that would take the state to greater heights.
