Bauchi State Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC),  Mohammed Tilde has appealed to party henchmen to assist families of the deceased politicians in the state, especially in running the affairs of the late heads of the households.

According to the party chairman, there is every need for party stakeholders to assist families of the deceased politicians especially in the proper upbringing such as shouldering their children’s schools fees or footing their scholarships.

The Bauchi APC chairman revealed that the party in the state has footed the scholarship of some families of the deceased that are now pursuing studies at some tertiary institutions of learning in the country.

Alh. Muhammed Hassan Tilde expressed regret that the APC in the state has been robbed of its victories at both the 2019 and 2023 general elections, a situation which compelled the party stakeholders to look after families of late political leaders.

Tilde who was speaking while receiving a number of 25 buses donated by Senator Shehu Buba Umar at the state party secretariat in Bauchi recalled that the Senator has been assisting the APC, its members in all the 20 LGAs, three senatorial districts and 212 federal wards in the state.

“Senator Buba Umar has been assisting party members through the periodic supply of  basic necessities of life, including foods and   clothing, and even free tickets to perform pilgrimage in far Saudi Arabia.

Presenting the buses earlier, the representative of the Senator, who was his campaign’s deputy director-general, Alhaji Aminu Mohammed
said that the vehicles should be used for any electoral office campaign for aspirants to all elective offices including the presidency.

Alh. Aminu Mohammed who holds the traditional title of Dan-Malikin Bauchi who said that he was heading a gubernatorial campaign team of Senator Shehu Buba Umar to present the vehicles on his behalf, expressed optimism that the Senator would clinch the gubernatorial ticket ahead of the polls.

He told the state party chairman, “This delegation I am heading was representing an APC gubernatorial aspirant, a senator representing Bauchi south senatorial district, who gave us an important message to convey to our party state’s secretariat here in Bauchi”.

Dan-Malikin Bauchi further stated that, “The Senator has delegated us with an important message that would assist our party in carrying out it’s activities especially as regard transportation of people, goods and other services.

” You as the state chairman of our great party should take delivery of these vehicles and present one to each of the party’s twenty Local government secretariat, one each for the three senatorial districts and two for the state secretariat of the party to facilitate easy conduct of party activities in any of its designated office or secretariat”.

He also disclosed that attached to these vehicles is the sum of N4 million for fueling the buses, most of which will be conveyed to the designated local government area, saying “Politics is for the politician, not for the money-bag people or Abuja-based policians who can zig-zag money only to run back to the respective states to aspire for the governorship seat.

Alh. Aminu Mohammed therefore advised people to leave politics to politicians, and described Senator Shehu Buba Umar as the most suitable aspirant for the governorship seat in Bauchi state.

Receiving the vehicles on behalf of the APC in the state, the chairman, Alh Mohammed Hassan Tilde commended the Senator for the gesture, assuring that they would use the vehicles for the purpose they were meant.
