In a renewed push to consolidate political strength ahead of the 2027 general elections, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Bauchi State, Dr. Bala Maijama’a Wunti, has called for unity among party members to ensure the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

The appeal comes on the heels of a high-level stakeholders’ meeting in Bauchi, where party leaders endorsed Tinubu for a second term.

Speaking at the event, Dr Wunti said there is a desire for cohesion, exposing the pressing need for a unifying force capable of transforming elite agreement into grassroots momentum.

Represented by Adamu Fanta of the Bala Wunti Movement, Dr Wunti reiterated that unity above all, and prioritizing the welfare of Bauchi State and its people remains key to victory.

He said through initiatives spearheaded by the Wunti Alkhairi Foundation and the Bala Wunti Support Organisation (BWSO), Wunti has implemented programs focused on education, healthcare, and economic empowerment.

He added that these efforts have impacted thousands of youths, women, and vulnerable groups, creating a loyal support base that many believe could prove decisive at the polls.

“This is the kind of grassroots trust that wins elections,” a party insider noted, emphasizing that Wunti’s influence extends far beyond party elites to the voters who ultimately determine electoral outcomes.
