Bashir Ahmad Advocates Farming Revolution on X: Calls for Mechanization, Smart Agriculture, Modern Storage

Bashir Ahmad, a prominent voice on agricultural development, has sparked a crucial conversation on X with his recent post urging a radical transformation in Nigeria’s farming practices. Ahmad highlighted the pressing need to adopt mechanized and smart agricultural techniques to meet the demands of Nigeria’s growing population, now over 230 million.

He emphasized that traditional farming methods are no longer sufficient to ensure food security and called for investments in cutting-edge technologies to boost productivity. Ahmad also pointed out the alarming rate of post-harvest losses, attributing it to the lack of modern storage facilities.

“To feed the over 230 million people in this country, we must change the way we farm. The traditional farming methods can no longer meet the demands of our population. We must invest in mechanization and smart agriculture to increase our productivity,” Ahmad posted.
