In a daring assault, heavily armed bandits stormed a Mobile Police (Mopol) base in Garagi, Yartsamiyar Jino Village, Kankara Local Government Area of Katsina State, leaving a trail of bloodshed.
Four police officers and two civilians were brutally killed during the raid, which took place in the early hours.
The attackers also looted rifles and set fire to Tsamiyar Jino Primary School, which had been repurposed as a temporary security camp.
A resident described the chilling scene, as law enforcement officials continue to investigate the incident amid mounting insecurity in the region.
