Borno State Government

Residents of Mai Nika and Dan Kyadi communities in Gwarzo Local Government Area were thrown into panic last night as armed bandits stormed the villages, shooting two persons and rustling a large number of livestock.

The attackers reportedly invaded the communities under the cover of darkness, leaving fear and distress in their wake as villagers fled for safety.

In a swift and coordinated response, combined security forces trailed the fleeing bandits, engaged them in a fierce confrontation and successfully dispersed the criminals. In a major breakthrough, all the rustled livestock were fully recovered during the operation.
