Armed bandits struck again in Zamfara State, killing a Community Protection Guard (CPG) in Dutsin Wake village, located in Birnin Magaji Local Government Area.
The attack occurred around 8:45 p.m. on April 28, according to sources familiar with the incident. The victim, identified as Faruk Suleman, was on duty when he was ambushed by the gunmen.
Suleman was fatally shot, and his pump-action rifle was taken by the attackers before they fled the scene. Security personnel later recovered his body, which was transported to a medical facility for examination.
Authorities say efforts are underway to track down the perpetrators and recover the stolen firearm.
