Armed bandits attacked Taka Lafiya village, on the outskirts of Zakka in Batsari Local Government Area, killing two residents and causing panic in the community.
Intelligence sources told Zagazola Makama that the attack, which occurred at about 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, saw the bandits armed with AK-47 rifles storming the village and firing indiscriminately.
Two residents, Abdulmajid Takalafiya, and Sahalu Dayyabu, sustained gunshot wounds and were rushed to the General Hospital in Batsari, where they were later confirmed dead by medical personnel.
The remains of the victims have been handed over to their families for burial.
