In a dramatic turn of events near Sangerawa village in Zamfara State, notorious bandit leader Kachalla Mai Shayi and twelve of his followers were killed in a deadly ambush.
The attack, launched by members of the late Kachalla Nagala’s gang, took place between the villages of Buroyi and Buzaya in the Bini district of Maru Local Government Area.
Kachalla Mai Shayi, a key lieutenant to the infamous Kachalla Yellow Mai Balli Balli, was targeted in what appears to be a continuation of violent revenge attacks between rival bandit factions.
The feud began after Kachalla Yellow Mai Balli Balli killed Kachalla Nagala, igniting a bloody cycle of retribution among the gangs.
Sources report that followers of the slain Kachalla Nagala are now plotting to target key figures like Yellow Mai Balli Balli, Sojan Zakwaui, and Yellon Emir in a bid for further revenge.
As tensions escalate, the forested areas of Zamfara continue to witness violent clashes, with numerous bandit leaders falling victim to the ongoing warfare.
