Katsina Police Command thwarted a bandit attack on Gidan Dan Ali village in Kankara LGA. At 1:05 AM, officers neutralized one armed bandit and recovered an AK47 rifle.
Acting on a tip-off, CSP Iliyasu Ibrahim of Kankara Divisional Headquarters mobilized police operatives, the Katsina State Community Watch Corps (KSCWC), and vigilantes.
They intercepted the assailants in Bulunkuza village, engaging them in a fierce gunfight. The bandits fled, abandoning their plans.
Commissioner of Police CP Aliyu Abubakar Musa praised the team’s bravery and urged the public to report suspicious activities promptly.
