Bakers Hike Bread Prices in Borno: New Costs Bite Starting July 1

The Association of Master Bakers and Caterers of Nigeria, Borno State Chapter, has announced an increase in bread prices due to rising costs of flour and other ingredients.

The new prices, effective July 1, 2024, include:Jumbo Bread: Now ₦240 (previously ₦200) and ₦1200 per set.

Round Bread: Now ₦340 (previously ₦290) and ₦1450 per set.

Kalangu Bread: Now ₦360 (previously ₦300) and ₦1800 per set.

LG/Carpet Bread: Now ₦480 (previously ₦400) and ₦2400 per set.

Luxy Bread: Now ₦600 (previously ₦500) and ₦3000 per set.

Marcopolo Bread: Now ₦720 (previously ₦600) and ₦3600 per set.

Family Bread: Now ₦1200 (previously ₦1000) and ₦6000 per set.

Chairman Bukar Mustapha expressed regret over any inconvenience caused but emphasized the need to prevent business collapse while ensuring quality products in compliance with NAFDAC regulations.
