The Association of Zakkat and Waqaf (AZAWON)operators in Nigeria has called on federal and states Government to institutionalize the system by means to addressing the current hardship of economic challenges and poverty facing by the Country.
The Chairman of Association Malam Engr.Muhammad Lawal Maidoki doubled as (SADAUKIN SOKOTO) explained that during their Press Conference at NUJ centre Kano on Wednesday.
Engr.Muhammad Lawal said everybody as a Muslims knews that Zakkat is not only a religious obligation it is Ride for any Positive transformation to Uplifts any Society and shared Responsiblity.
”As this Association is the Umbrella body for all institutions and individuals that Collect,distribute and manage islamic charity in Nigeria must Spinning Cooprate and governmental with Emirates based Zakkat Waqaf across over 25 states of Nation.
”You Knew that since 2021 as we organised annual National Conference in Sumaila local Government of Kano State AZAWON has offered the viable platform for discussion among scolars.”
Malam Muhammad Maidoki added that after their three conferences in Sumaila Kano state 2021,Kaduna 2022 and Dutse in Jigawa at the Year of 2023 Today (Wednesday)They are addressing the World about Up Coming 4th National Conference shedule on 12-16 this December in Hadejia in Jigawa state respectively.
He futher said their Commitment at AZAWON to Zakkat and WAQAF is about establishing best practices that can reaching out the poor and those who have means will not be a difficult Task.
The Chairman maintained that they must profound appreciation to Emirs and state Governors for their Continous support and commitment to strenthening Zakkat and Waqaf in best practices in Nigeria as we as thanking local organizing Committee for Volunteering and dedicating theirself towards working for Upcoming 4th National Conference.
