The African Union Commission has strongly condemned the latest terrorist attacks in Zamfara State, declaring unwavering solidarity with Nigeria in the face of rising insecurity
In a firm statement, the Chairperson of the Commission denounced the violence and expressed the African Union’s full support for the Government and people of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
The continental body conveyed heartfelt condolences to families who lost loved ones in the attacks and wished a speedy recovery to those injured.
Reaffirming its commitment to peace, security, and stability across Africa, the Commission stressed the need for intensified efforts to combat terrorism and violent extremism, describing the Zamfara incidents as a grave threat to regional stability.
The statement comes amid renewed security concerns in parts of northwestern Nigeria, where armed groups have continued to launch deadly raids on communities.
