Atiku Slams FG Over Malnourished Kids’ Court Arraignment, Cites Child Rights Act

Atiku Abubakar has taken to his X account, condemning what he describes as a disturbing scene involving malnourished children brought before a Federal High Court on orders of the Tinubu administration.

In the video, the children, allegedly detained for participating in #EndBadGovernance protests, appear severely emaciated—a sight Atiku likens to a “Nazi concentration camp.”

In his statement, Atiku referenced Section 11 of the Child Rights Act, underscoring a child’s right to dignity, protection from abuse, and freedom from inhuman treatment.

He criticized the government’s approach, questioning how a former pro-democracy leader could now target children protesting the harsh impact of his policies.

“A nation is measured by its treatment of the vulnerable,” he wrote, emphasizing the tragic irony that the conditions these children face reflect their grievances.
