Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has set tongues wagging with a high-profile gathering at his residence after breaking fast on Tuesday. Atiku, via his X account, revealed that he hosted former Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai, former Adamawa State Governor Jibrilla Bindow, and Musa Halilu, the Dujima Adamawa, for Iftar.
“Our robust discussions were the dessert of the meal,” Atiku cryptically posted, leaving many to speculate about the nature of their talks.
The meeting, bringing together key political figures from the North, has fueled speculation about possible alignments ahead of the 2027 elections.
While details of the discussions remain undisclosed, observers note that El-Rufai’s presence, given his strained ties with the APC, could hint at shifting political dynamics.
As the political atmosphere heats up, all eyes remain on Atiku and his next move.
