Gombe state police command under the leadership of CP Hayatu Usman psc have arrested four suspects for the offence of criminal conspiracy, Vandalisation and Receiving stolen property.
The Command are got credible intelligence received from a good samaritan the following suspects were arrested:
The suspect are Ibrahim Yauta ‘m’ aged 30yrs of Unguwar Uban-doma qtrs Liji- Y/deba LGA,Kasimu Umar ‘m’ aged of 26yrs of Bogo garin-waziri bye-pass Gombe and Yusuf Mohammed ‘m’ aged 32yrs ‘m’ of Kofar Sarkin Liji with Shu’aibu Saidu ‘m’ Unguwa Uku, Gombe (Receiver).
That the above named first three suspects who specialized in vandalizing critical government infrastructures have been arrested along Liji Railway track in Y/deba LGA with forty two (42) pieces of railway iron sleepers concealed inside a white Pick-up van with Reg. no. XP693 ABJ loaded with sand.
Furthermore, during the course of investigation the said suspect Yusuf Mohammed “M” confessed and stated that he been vandalizing the rail track for seven times and he mentioned one Shu’aibu Saidu ‘m’ Unguwa Uku, Gombe as receivers. Meanwhile, the said receiver also confessed.
The commissioner of Police Gombe State Police Command is therefore calling on the good people of Gombe state to continue furnishing the command with such credible information of any suspicious movement of person (s) or item(s).
