Army Clarifies: Buni Yadi Special Forces School Stays, Doma Hosts New Command Headquarters

Katsina state government

Amid public concerns over the fate of the Nigerian Army Special Forces School in Buni Yadi, Gujba LGA of Yobe State, following the commissioning of the Special Forces Command Headquarters in Doma, Nasarawa State, authorities have moved swiftly to clear the air.

The clarification, issued by Brig. Gen. Abdulsalam Dahiru (rtd), Special Adviser on Security Matters to the Yobe State Governor, confirmed that the Buni Yadi facility is not relocating. Instead, it has now been officially designated as the Nigerian Army Acclimatization Centre, continuing its critical role in preparing troops for induction into the Northeast Theatre of Operations.

“The establishment of the Special Forces Command in Doma necessitated the co-location of the Special Forces School with the Command Headquarters. But for the avoidance of doubt, the school in Buni Yadi still remains and is not moving anywhere,” Brig. Gen. Dahiru explained.
