The Appeal Court in Abuja has lifted the ban on three prominent People’s Democratic Party (PDP) leaders from attending the party’s crucial National Executive Committee meetings.
Former PDP National Chairman Uche Secondus, ex-Rivers State Governor Celestine Omehia, and former Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives Austin Opara were previously barred by the Federal High Court, but the appellate court has now ruled that the judiciary overreached by meddling in the party’s internal matters.
The decision opens the door for these key figures to once again play pivotal roles in shaping the PDP’s future.
