The All Progressives Congress (APC) has announced that its much-anticipated National Convention will take place on March 25, 2026, marking a significant step toward repositioning the ruling party ahead of the next election cycle.
In preparation for the event, the party revealed plans to conduct ward, local government, and state congresses in December 2025, aimed at electing new party executives and strengthening its internal democratic structures across the country.
Party insiders described the timeline as part of APC’s broader strategy to ensure unity, transparency, and grassroots participation before the convention.
According to sources within the National Working Committee (NWC), detailed guidelines for the congresses will be released soon, with emphasis on fairness, inclusion, and adherence to the party’s constitution.
The upcoming convention is expected to produce new national leaders and set the tone for the APC’s political direction in 2026 and beyond.
