A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Katsina State, Alhaji Abdulaziz Maituraka, says members of the party in the state are united who are working as one family.
Maituraka stated this while briefing newsmen in Katsina on Sunday following the success of the party at the Saturday’s local government election in the state.
He said that the success of the party was a clear indication that it was still maintaining its strength, therefore, fully ready for the 2027 General Elections.
Maituraka also said that the success was recorded due to the tireless support offered by all the stakeholders, including the former Governor of the state, Aminu Masari.
He, therefore, called on the elected local government Chairmen and Councilors, to do everything possible towards the development of youths, women, and also their areas.
The APC chieftain further appealed to the public and social media users to desist from circulating fake news on issues related to the current insecurity in the state.
According to him, the current administration of Gov. Dikko Radda is doing its best in tackling the situation,hence the public should assist the government in bolstering security.
Describing the election as free and fair, Maituraka also commended the voters for coming out in their large numbers to exercise their franchise by voting for their chosen candidates.
According to him, this has shown that the voters are gradually getting to understand their rights better, therefore, congratulating the winners and the party for a successful election.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Maituraka is also the Senior Legislative Aide to the Deputy Senate President, Sen. Barau Jibrin.
