The Deputy Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Katsina State, Alhaji Bala Abubakar Musawa, has issued directives to local government councils in the state to accelerate the provision of democratic dividends to their electorates.
This directive was given during a statewide assessment tour organized by the APC in Sandamu, Baure, Zango, and Mai’adua.
Alhaji Bala Musawa emphasized the need for improved living conditions for the people of Katsina State, urging leaders to focus their attention in this direction.
The tour, conducted in collaboration with the Katsina State Government, aims to monitor the performance of each local government council and assess the execution of AGILE programs.
The APC deputy chairman highlighted that the tour would also help evaluate the payment of allowances to all party officials, as introduced by Governor Malam Dikko Radda.
He cautioned APC officials against unwarranted criticism that could tarnish the party’s image.
With the release of the local government election schedule by the State Independent Electoral Commission (SIEC), Alhaji Bala Musawa emphasized the challenge for all councils to project a positive image of the APC.
During the tour, local government council chairmen expressed gratitude to the state government for releasing funds that enabled the execution of various people-oriented projects.
The highlights of the assessment tour included the inspection of state and local government projects, as well as the execution of AGILE projects in the visited local government areas.
The directive from the APC deputy chairman underscores the party’s commitment to ensuring the effective delivery of developmental projects and services at the grassroots level in Katsina State.
