……As Governor Dikko Radda pay Property Owners affected by the road
Katsina State government is to convert an old age IBB way in to Dual Carriage.The road has been in the list of previous governments proposed dualisation, but not realized until during the Dikko Radda led administration
The dualisation project will cover about 3klms, starting from CPS – Mobil junction – Underpass Bridge to Kofar Kaura in Katsina Metropolitan City.
Already, Katsina State government through the Ministry of Lands and Physical Planning has paid the Compensation to properties to be affected by the road expansion
The Commissioner of the Ministry Dr. Faisal Umar Kaita has presented the Cheques to the affected properties owners at an occasion held at Katsina Local government secretariat.
The money amounting to 706,666,540 naira.92k and settled 161, property owners as compensation.
With the payment of the compensation, government has given 14 days ultimatum to the affected properties owners to vacate the places for the commencement of the road expansion project.
The added advantage to those affected, the government allowed them to remove what ever they want out of the Compensated properties.The road project upon completion will improve the free flow of traffic and decongest some busy areas known as business spots along the road.
Again these backdrop, the stakeholders in Katsina Local government appreciated the present Dikko Radda administration for his Urban Renewal program which positively affected the area directly.
They assured of continues support to all government policies and programs.
On the other hand, an elder statesman, Alhaji Bilya Sanda ,whose property was by the project, described the project as a welcome development and Commended Governor Dikko Radda for the policy of paying Compensation before the commencement of any developmental projects in the State.
Going forward, the present Dikko Radda administration is now about to complete all the earmarked projects under its Urban Renewal program in the Metropolitan City of Katsina
