In a recent joint security operation in Konduga Local Government Area of Borno State, troops under Operation Hadin Kai recovered an AK-47 rifle while searching for rustled sheep.
According to reports, the operation was carried out by a coordinated team of military personnel, police tactical operatives, members of the Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF), and local hunters. The team combed through nearby bushland where the livestock were believed to have been taken and found the assault rifle during the search.
This action comes amid growing concerns over criminal activities in the area, including terrorism, livestock theft, violent assaults, and homicides. The recovery is seen as a significant breakthrough in the ongoing efforts to restore peace and security to communities affected by insurgent and criminal elements.
