Aircraft will soon begin refueling operations in Katsina State, following the establishment of a state-of-the-art aviation fuel facility by Goal Energy Limited, led by its Chairman, Tayo Ogundehin.
Speaking to journalists on Wednesday, October 29, 2025, during an inspection visit to the project site, the Chairman of the Katsina State Investment Promotion Agency, Alhaji Ibrahim Tukur Jikamshi, expressed satisfaction with the progress of work.
The new fuel depot, located at the Umaru Musa Yar’adua International Airport in Katsina, is nearing completion and is expected to commence operations soon.
Alhaji Jikamshi noted that the project would significantly enhance air transport operations in the state, generate employment opportunities, and increase internally generated revenue.
“The establishment of this aviation fuel facility will greatly improve flight operations in Katsina, create jobs for our people, and contribute to the state’s economic growth,” he said.
He commended Goal Energy Limited for its confidence in the state’s investment climate and for choosing Katsina as the site for such an important project.
In his remarks, the company’s chairman, Mr. Tayo Ogundehin, said Goal Energy Limited has made substantial investments to ensure the availability of high-quality aviation fuel for both domestic and international aircraft.
“This project represents a major milestone for Katsina and the Nigerian aviation sector. Our goal is to provide reliable, high-grade aviation fuel that will serve aircraft flying into and out of Katsina and across the country,” Ogundehin stated.
The facility is expected to boost the state’s profile as an emerging hub for aviation services in Northern Nigeria.
