AIG Auwal Visits Akwa Ibom Command, Warns Officers Against Corruption, Civil Disputes

The Assistant Inspector-General of Police in charge of Zone 6 Headquarters, Calabar, AIG Auwal Musa Muhammed,has paid an official working visit to the Akwa Ibom State Police Command, reaffirming his commitment to professionalism, integrity, and anti-corruption within the Force.

Welcomed by the Commissioner of Police, CP Baba Mohammed Azare, Mnipr, fsi, and senior officers at the State Command Headquarters in Uyo, the AIG commended the Command’s dedication to duty but issued a stern warning against extortion, bribery, and any form of misconduct.

He cautioned personnel against meddling in civil cases, especially land disputes, stressing that such violations attract severe disciplinary action in line with the directives of the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, Ph.D., NPM.

AIG Auwal further charged officers to uphold professionalism, respect human rights, and remain committed to the Force’s mission of delivering citizen-centered policing.

The visit, according to the Command, served as a morale booster and reinforced the leadership’s vision of an accountable and corruption-free Police Force.
